Tips in Keeping Your Mattresses Urine-Free
Once you have effectively removed urine from your mattress, the next thing you will want to do is to keep urine out of it in the future the actual process for how to clean urine from a mattress could be quite easy, but it’s not something you want to happen regularly as it can accumulate bacteria and ongoing odor, especially if you fail to dry them completely.
Since mattresses are thick and heavy, you can’t possibly just toss them into the washing machine every time they get wet from urine. The best way to stop worrying about how to clean urine from mattress is to keep urine completely out of it.
The 2 most common reasons why mattresses get soaked in urine are children and pets. So if you have any of these 2 at home, follow these simple tips below to keep your mattresses urine-free and clean as much as possible.
Keep your pets off your bed – while you may be confident that your pets are litter trained, you could never be 100% sure that they are not going to urinate on your mattress. As a general rule of thumb, pets should have a separate sleeping area, not your own bed! If you want to play or cuddle up with them, get a thinner mattress (one that can be washed and dried easily) and lay it on the floor. That way, you and your pet can have a nice cuddling time without getting your mattress soaked in pee.
Diapers for children – If you have small children who are not yet potty trained, you might want to consider letting them wear diapers especially when they’re sleeping on the mattress at night and even during the daytime.
